Data Careers Trends & AI Acceleration will explore the future of navigating careers in data and the impact of AI acceleration. Our panelists will share their journeys, insights, onramps, & outlook on what it takes to start, succeed, pivot, and get ahead in data careers, especially with AI at the forefront. No matter where you are in your career path, there will be something to learn and consider. Our own DAMA-RMC VP of Partnerships, Greg Sheridan, will host the panel and guide us through the conversation!

Greg Sheridan, DAMA-RMC, VP of Partnerships and Sponsorships and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Investor Relations at Mountain Theory. Greg is a strategic technology advisor to his clients in the areas of Data, Cyber and Software. He started his career in Europe with a consulting company supporting large financial services organizations and eventually found his way to Denver in 2013. After working for several organizations Greg decided to start his own business in 2022 and has enjoyed the last two and half years as an advocate and advisor to his clients. Greg is known for his support of the community both personally and professionally. He is always excited about building partnerships for DAMA-RMC in the wider community.

Adil Minhas is the Vice President of Data & Analytics at Northwood Investors, where he leads the firm’s enterprise data strategy, governance, and analytics initiatives. With over 17 years of experience, Adil’s career has spanned midrange systems, infrastructure, application design, and full-scale enterprise data architecture. His journey from developer to architect to program manager has given him a unique end-to-end perspective on how technology transforms businesses. At Northwood, he has overseen the buildout of a custom enterprise data warehouse and led AI-driven projects that make analytics more powerful and actionable.

Greg has been advocating for his clients for nearly two decades. With a background as a technology consultant, services delivery manager, and client partner, he brings a comprehensive understanding of the software delivery and sales life cycles. His ability to navigate both technical and business domains enables him to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels. Greg excels at connecting the right people to the right opportunities, a strength he applies in both his professional endeavors and personal network.
He holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
A proud Army brat, Greg was raised near Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Over the years, he has lived in Charlotte, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco before making Denver his home. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding in the winter and golfing in the summer.

Jed Summerton - Data Careers
Jed Summerton is a senior leader and college professor of data strategy and business analytics, specializing in applying the insights of data sciences to improve organizational performance. As an executive and consultant he has served over 100 companies in developing and operating large-scale data and analytics programs in health care, telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing and retailing.
He has served as a faculty member of The Data Warehousing Institute and currently teaches in the BSBA, MBA, MSBA and Executive Education programs at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, where he also chairs the advisory board for the department of Business Information and Analytics.
